Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a time-tested, safe, natural and drug-free health care system that can provide immediate relief and long lasting benefits. It can help you return to peak performance by restoring the proper and continuous flow of vital energy, call Qi (pronounced "chee").
Acupuncture is a part of a broad-based approach. Treatments may be combined with other therapies such as: herbs to naturally eliminate pain and reduce inflammation, exercise to increase muscle strength and joint mobility and massage to enhance soft tissue healing.

What to expect during and after an acupuncture treatment?
Acupuncture needles are typically not much thicker than a human hair and their insertion is practically painless. There may be some tingling or sensation of the energy moving once the needles are in place. During the acupuncture treatment, many patients feel very relaxed and even fall asleep. Patients often experience an immediate total or partial relief of their pain or other symptoms. Depending upon the severity and duration of symptoms, a single treatment may be all that is needed for an acute condition (cold, sinusitis). For more chronic conditions, 5-10 treatments may be needed. Treatments may range from weekly to twice a month or on an as needed basis. Some patients like to get a "tune-up" with acupuncture as it leaves them feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and centered.
